Carla Ferris

Owner

Carla started Wagamuffin Pet Care on July 01, 2005, with her two feet and two fabulous canine clients that put a smile on her face each and every day!  She grew up in a household full of pets (dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, goldfish, a bunny rabbit and a snake), and developed a love of animals from a young age.  She attended the University of Maryland at College Park, and graduated with a BA in history.  Carla is the very happy mom of three (human!) kids, two dogs, two cats, and two guinea pigs.  When she isn’t chasing her kids and pets around, she can be found weeding her vegetable garden while trying not to get eaten alive by mosquitoes.

Susana Almendarez

General Manager

Susi has been working with Wagamuffin since late 2008. She was raised in DC and has recently settled down in Hyattsville with her husband, beautiful twins, mom, and her fabulous pup. She has a BA in Spanish, and truly loves the art of language.  She enjoys doing puzzles in her spare time, but mostly spending time at home with her family!

Sheena Ozzella

Operations Manager

Sheena Ozzella has lived in the DMV for almost 10 years. She has a pastry arts degree and an intense sweet tooth. Sheena has toured the world with her indie rock band, and now lives in Takoma Park, MD with her dog and boyfriend. She loves hiking at local parks, such as Fort Washington, Roosevelt Island, and Sugar Loaf mountain. Sheena also enjoys singing made up silly songs to her pup, and she is pretty confident that he enjoys it too!
